Sean is the Head Men’s and Women’s Tennis Team Coach at Wright State University.
He came to Wright State in 2008 and among other achievements, has turned around
both teams to winning Horizon League programs in just 16 months.
He has guided the men’s team to the biggest win percentage increase in all of
NCAA Division I and the women’s team to 2nd best improvement nationally during
the 2010 season (from 2009 results).
Sean came to Dayton from Colby-Sawyer College New London, NH where he was Head
Men’s & Women’s Tennis Team Coach. In his four years with Colby-Sawyer he had a
career record of 101-32 and recruited and developed the team that won the 2009
TCCC Conference championship and appeared in their 1st NCAA tournament.
From 2000 through 2008 Sean was the General Manager & Director of Tennis at Our
Court Tennis Club in Hartford, VT. As tennis professional and director of
tennis, he established one the strongest junior and adult programs in USTA New
England Section.

Oct 2008 The Commonwealth Coast Conference Coach of the Year Voted as TCCC
Women’s Coach of the Year by fellow coaches after guiding the Colby- Sawyer
College women to their record setting undefeated 18-0 season.

July 2004 USPTA New England Coach of the Year Named Coach of the Year after
guiding the New England Junior Advanced 14 year old team to the USTA Team Tennis
National Championships in Tucson, AZ. Helped coach four different boys and girls
to top ten rankings in USTA New England in 18’s,16’s, and 14’s. Guided the
Hanover, NH Boys Varsity High School team to an undefeated 17-0 season and
sweeping all three team and individual championships.

Honored with this USTA award as they acknowledged efforts as manager for this
private tennis club of 200 members. Innovative tennis programs and program
direction helped this club as it was identified as one of the premier indoor
tennis clubs in New England.
